Doctor Who's 40th Anniversary creeps slowly closer.

Australian fans get to party this week. After the Encore movie channel repeats the Peter Cushing movie Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150A.D. Sunday at 7:50AM AEST, the Doctor returns to free TV on Monday. ABC will air 1 episode per day Monday through Thursday at 6PM all time zones, starting with the William Hartnell stories. Apart from the TV Movie, this is the first time Doctor Who has aired on broadcast TV in Australia since the mid-1990s.

Cable & satellite subscribers in Australia can look forward to additional Doctor Who on Saturday 11 October. Katy Manning will host a marathon with An Unearthly Child, The War Games, The Three Doctors, Planet of the Spiders, The Deadly Assassin, Logopolis, The Five Doctors, The Caves of Androzani, The Two Doctors, The Trial Of A Time Lord: The Ultimate Foe, Survival, Doctor Who (1996 TV Movie). UKTV also has a Doctor Who broadcast of some as yet undefined nature on Sunday 23 November at 8:30PM.

Richard E. Grant (Withnail & I, 10th Doctor in The Curse Of Fatal Death) will be the BBC's official Ninth Doctor in a fully animated webcast on BBCi's website in November, the month of Doctor Who's 40th anniversary. Check out http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho/ for more details.

Iowa Public TV's http://www.iptv.org/ Doctor Who Celebration on September 27 is approaching quickly. Two stories from BBV http://www.bbvonline.co.uk/ will be broadcast from 9 to 11:30PM - The Airzone Solution & Auton. This is their second known presentation in the US, following KTEH's http://www.kteh.org/ premiere in August. At last word IPTV was still looking for volunteers to man the phones that evening.
